From September 3rd to 5th, the ninth meeting of BRICS leaders, which attracted worldwide attention, was held in Xiamen, Ludao. Leaders of BRICS countries, Egypt, Guinea, Mexico, Tajikistan and Thailand gathered in Xiamen to discuss cooperation plans between emerging markets and developing countries. While this meeting brought new development opportunities to China, Xiamen International Convention Center, the main venue of the conference, entered the sight of people all over the world. In order to welcome this BRICS summit, Xiamen Municipal Government has carried out a comprehensive upgrade and transformation of "Xiamen International Conference Center".

After "closed-door practice", the convention and exhibition center finally stepped onto the international stage with a brand-new attitude and became the focus of the world.

Xiamen International Convention Center is located in Huandao Road, Xiamen, near the sea, with beautiful scenery. The building area of Xiamen International Convention Center is 143,000 square meters. The curtain wall project was completed in October, 2012. Its exterior decoration consists of glass curtain wall, aluminum veneer curtain wall, stone curtain wall, glass window and glass door, etc. From the appearance point of view, the building has a novel design, unique shape and rich layering.

The renovation area reaches 30,000 square meters, with more than 20 categories. However, at the end of January this year, the design scheme was finally finalized, which means that in such a short time, it is almost an impossible task to complete the new construction of the east corridor, welcome corridor, welcome hall and west entrance hall of the five-country conference room on the first floor, as well as the local renovation of the business forum, bilateral talks, small conference hall, main venue on the second floor, state banquet hall and facade.

In terms of curtain wall engineering, Fangda Jianke undertook the main responsibility of renovation. As a boutique supplier in China's high-end curtain wall field, it successfully completed the curtain wall project of Xiamen International Conference Center with exquisite technology and efficient construction management. The profiles used in the renovation were provided by Huajian Aluminum. The renovated parts include large conference hall, small and medium conference hall, lounge hall, VIP lounge, main banquet hall and ancillary facilities, concert hall and hotel. The five-star hotel has 18 floors above ground, with a maximum building elevation of 81.3 meters; The curtain wall covers an area of 90,200 square meters. The curtain wall system of this project consists of rib glass curtain wall, horizontal and vertical hidden glass curtain wall, vertical and horizontal hidden glass curtain wall, stone curtain wall, aluminum alloy sliding door (the entry "sliding door" is provided by the industry encyclopedia), aluminum plate ceiling and overhanging eaves, lighting roof, metal roof, aluminum alloy grille, aluminum alloy louver, glass railing and glass awning, etc. The curtain wall shape is complex and diverse.

In the stage of curtain wall installation, Fangda team made great efforts to innovate in construction methods. In view of the large span of the rib-point glass curtain wall on the front of the building (the maximum span reaches 16 meters), considering the requirements of architectural beauty and functional use, a new form of curtain wall combining tie rod glass ribs (the term "glass rib" is provided by the industry encyclopedia) is adopted, which is transparent and beautiful, and at the same time effectively reduces the occupation of indoor space. The concert hall of this project is semi-ellipsoidal, with a height of 25 meters. Its peculiar shape adds a lot of difficulties to the curtain wall construction.

In addition, in terms of interior decoration, it was made by Yaxia Decoration. In the decoration of the venue, in order to pursue the most perfect visual effect, the decoration team made fine adjustments from material types, color matching, texture effects to texture directions, and made full use of environmentally friendly recycled materials. After the BRICS meeting, some facilities in the venue can be disassembled and recycled. It is worth mentioning that on the main background wall of the large-scale conference rooms in the five countries, Dehua porcelain, one of the famous kilns in the Song Dynasty, was made into the shape of the national flower of the BRICS countries and "pasted" on the wall. "Because it was the first time to treat the famous porcelain of the Song Dynasty as a'ceramic tile ', the project department was particularly cautious and sent a special person to the Dehua porcelain production site to inspect the local soil quality and the manufacturer's craftsmanship, and to strictly stipulate the location and depth of Dehua porcelain mining. There is no room for carelessness.

Because this is not only a venue, but also a window for China to show its elegance to the world. During the decoration process, 'ingenuity 'must be applied to every corner. There is a welcome corridor on the east and west sides of Xiamen International Conference Center. It is the "facade" of the whole venue, and it is also the place where leaders of various countries step into the venue.

The corridor incorporates the shapes of Xiamen city flowers and Xiamen traditional architectural gables. It is named "Danguan Feiyu". It is composed of 48 "Ji"-shaped copper beams. It has a unique shape and magnificent momentum. The interior of the "Ji"-shaped is steel frame structure, wrapped with copper plates on the outside. "In order to ensure the accurate positioning and welding of the copper plates, The project department carried out countless payout measurements to correct the deviation, and the final structural deviation was controlled within 2mm, far higher than the design standard.

With the successful conclusion of the conference, this event has also become the highest-standard international conference ever held by Xiamen as an independent host city. As the host of the BRICS conference, it is natural to show different Chinese characteristics and Xiamen characteristics to leaders and representatives from all over the world.
